Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
Trailsip ("we", "us") operates trailsip.club. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who is responsible for your data
Trailsip
Email: hello@trailsip.club
Trailsip is responsible for the personal information described here and for deciding how it is used. We trade online only, so email is the way to reach us about anything in this policy.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, delivery address, billing address, and phone number if you provide one.
Payment information: we do not collect, see, or store your card details. Payment is handled by our payment processor, and card data goes directly to them.
Automatically, when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site you arrived from. This comes from cookies and similar technologies.
If you contact us: the contents of your message and anything you choose to include in it.
If you subscribe to email: your email address, and whether you open our messages.
Why we use it
| Purpose | Why it is necessary |
| Processing and delivering your order | To perform the contract you entered into |
| Answering your questions | To provide customer support |
| Preventing fraud and abuse | To protect the store and its customers |
| Marketing email, where you have opted in | Your consent |
| Advertising our product, and measuring whether the ads work | Your consent, where the law requires it |
| Analytics and improving the site | To understand and improve how the store is used |
| Meeting tax and accounting obligations | Required by law |
Who we share it with
We do not take money for your personal information. We do share some of it with Meta so that we can advertise — US state privacy laws count that as “sharing”, and you can opt out. See Advertising and analytics partners below.
We share it with the parties who make the store work:
- Shopify, which hosts the store and processes orders on our behalf.
- Our payment processor, which handles your payment.
- Our supplier and shipping carriers, who receive the name and delivery address needed to send your parcel.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising and for measuring it.
- Email and analytics providers, if and where we use them.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
Some of these providers, including our supplier, are based outside the United States. Where your information is handled abroad, we require the provider to protect it to the standard set out in this policy.
Advertising and analytics partners
We advertise on Meta’s platforms — Facebook and Instagram — and we use two Meta tools to do it. Both send Meta information about you.
The Meta Pixel is a piece of code that runs inside this store. When you visit, it tells Meta your IP address, your browser and device, which pages you looked at, and what you did on them — viewed the product, added it to the cart, started checkout, bought something. Where your browser still allows Meta’s own cookies, Meta uses those to recognise you on other websites as well.
The Conversions API sends Meta the same kind of information from our side rather than from your browser. When you place an order that includes your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, hashed — scrambled so the value cannot be read directly. Meta calls this advanced matching. Meta compares the scrambled version against its own users’ details to work out whether one of our ads led to your order.
We use both to show our ads to people likely to want the product, to stop showing them to people who have already bought, and to see whether the advertising pays for itself. Meta also uses what it receives for its own purposes, under its own terms. That part is not under our control.
US state privacy laws treat this as “sharing” your personal information for targeted advertising, even though we are paid nothing for it. You can opt out: use Your Privacy Choices in the footer, or email hello@trailsip.club and we will do it for you. Opting out does not stop you buying, and it does not affect any email you have signed up for. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, you can also disconnect what we send from it using Meta’s Off-Facebook Activity settings.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for 7 years, because tax law requires it. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept for 2 years. Analytics data is kept for 26 months.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can email hello@trailsip.club and ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete your information, where we are not legally required to keep it.
- Stop using it for marketing. You can also click unsubscribe in any email.
- Give you your data in a portable format.
We respond within 30 days.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do share personal information for targeted advertising — that is what the Meta tools described above do. You can opt out at any time through Your Privacy Choices or by emailing us. We do not take money for your personal information. Residents of other states with comparable privacy laws have equivalent rights, and we apply the list above to every customer regardless of where they live.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the store — keeping your cart, keeping you logged in, security. These cannot be turned off.
We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. Where the law requires consent for these, you will be asked before they are set, and you can decline without losing access to the store.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break checkout.
Meta may also set advertising cookies, described under Advertising and analytics partners. Opting out through Your Privacy Choices stops that sharing.
Children
This store is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections across the whole store. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be announced on this page.
